Aqua-Hort Copper Dosing – Model overview
The following is a guide to the type and range of Aqua-Hort models which are available. There are a number of configurations available depending on the particular application. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
Aqua-Hort 12 amp
The Aqua-Hort 12 amp model has grown out of a need for a small unit which can handle low flow situations, for example small nurseries, spraying booms, research trials, propagation areas etc. The unit has 2 pairs of electrodes in 2 pipes instead of the usual four pairs.
Approx. 0-4 m³ / hour at 3 PPM. Max. Amps: 12 Max. Volts: 24 Electrodes: 2 pairs, 20 mm x 1.0 m long. Total copper: 11 kg
Aqua-Hort 75 Mini
The Aqua-Hort Mini has a 33 amp controller with 4 pairs of electrodes in 75 mm pipes and is ideal for many small nurseries.
Approx. 1-12 m³ / hour at 3 PPM. Max. Amps: 33 Max. Volts: 48 Electrodes: 4 pairs, 20 mm x 1.0 m long. Total copper: 22 kg
Aqua-Hort 90 Standard
The Aqua-Hort Standard has a 65 amp controller with 4 pairs of electrodes in 90 mm pipes and is suitable for a wide range of mid size nureseries
Approx. 1-30 m³ / hour at 3 PPM . Max. Amps: 65 Max. Volts: 24 Electrodes: 4 pairs, 20 mm x 1.5 m long. Total copper: 33 kg
Aqua-Hort Tank Model
The Aqua-Hort Tank model has flat plate electrodes with a much greater surface area than the rod electrodes. It can be supplied with a range of controls from 65 to 400 Amps. This allows it to be used where there is no other fertiliser dosing and the water supply has a very low E.C. and also where there are much higher flow rates.
For example:
Approx. 3-75 m³ / hour at 3 PPM . Max. Amps: 100/200 Max. Volts: 48/24 Electrodes: 4 pairs, 10 mm x 0.25 m x 1.5 m long. Total copper: 186 kg
Aqua-Hort Float Model
The Aqua-Hort Float Model is used on an indoor or outdoor reservoir which is used for the irrigation system. With the large plate electrodes it is suitable for low conductivity water like rain water. In outdoor reservoirs it can help solve the problems of algae. Very large volumes of water can be treated.
Controllers
The controller is the heart of the Aqua-Hort system. It uses the flow rate information from the flow meter to regulate the power to the electrodes which maintains the rate of copper dosing at the level set by the user.
Controllers are available in a wide range of duties from 12 Amp / 24 Volt to 300 Amp / 48 Volt or 400 Amp / 24 Volt
Replacement Electrodes
The copper electrodes – rods or plates – are used at a predictable rate and the replacement interval depends on final dosing rate, the flow rate and the weight of copper in the machine.
Copper Test Set
The Aqua-Hort does not measure the copper level in the irrigation output water and so a Hanna test set for free copper ions is supplied to enable regular testing by the user. Replacement test sets are available.
